Prabowo Subianto, President of Indonesia, made his debut at the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as the leader of a newly admitted full member. The summit, according to Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, focused on enhancing international economic cooperation. Airlangga highlighted the significance of the Leaders’ Declaration, which emphasized the strengthening of multilateralism and global governance reform. Of particular importance to Indonesia was the promotion of peace, security, and international economic collaboration to expand market access for Indonesian products within the BRICS framework. The summit was attended by the founding BRICS members and newly admitted countries, including Indonesia.
