President Prabowo congratulated Dato’ Seri Anwar for his leadership as Chair of ASEAN, highlighting his achievements in securing peace between the two nations. He also expressed Indonesia’s readiness to support Prime Minister Anwar in his capacity as both head of the Malaysian government and Chair of ASEAN. Emphasizing the importance of peaceful conflict resolution in the region, President Prabowo called on ASEAN countries to prioritize consultation, negotiation, and consensus. He stressed the significance of mediation as the most effective approach to resolving conflicts, particularly among Southeast Asian nations with shared cultural and historical bonds. President Prabowo, accompanied by key members of the Red and White Cabinet, including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, affirmed the shared commitment to peaceful resolution and collaboration among nations with common heritage.
